Schools:
Primary teacher in Pittsburgh. flying by the seat of my pants, but with a bit more perspective these days.
Oberlin grad. have any other Obies noticed how many of us end up here sooner or later?
Pining for Germany as always; Bitteschön, wenn Sie Deutsch sprechen, ein bisschen mit mir reden? Ich will nicht, dass ich die ganze Sprache verliere während ich in einem englischsprechenden Land bin.

i am
-in my late twenties holy shit when did that happen (or five, depending on my mood).
-fidgety. i am pathologically incapable of sitting still for any period of time. i deal with this by knitting. a LOT.
*i also spin yarn, on this wheel. (and, recently, this one.)
-tactile. i hug everyone.
-more commonly found in polo shirts and jeans these days (comes with being a kindergarten teacher) but still feel most at home in a black tank top, black BDUs, and Corcorans. it feels like finally taking off a costume.
-a (former, at this point) techie. no, not a coder. one of the people in black who either has on them or can get easy access to a leatherman, a roll of gaff tape, some tie line, a handful of safety pins, a needle, a wrench (i prefer a lighting cross) and/or a power drill. for starters. It's been a while since I trod the boards but I do miss it.
*(on a related note, i like knives. they're shiny.)
-fairly radical. don't get me started on feminist history or politics, please.
-leaning poly, lately. you're as surprised as i am.
-lots of other things i can't be bothered to list right now.

the three culinary paths to my heart are dark chocolate (the darker the better), boston cream donuts, and butterscotch dum dums. seriously; they will make me love you.
(and i occasionally fear that cheese danishes will bring about my financial ruin.)
